The telephone number Bristol 777766 was well known to many old pupils and is retained to this day, albeit somewhat extended to 0117 977 7766. The distinctive red soil around parts of the Brislington area is known as 'Red Marl' and well remembered by all pupils, particularly when playing sports. The roof of the new [2009] multipurpose hall, catches rainwater in a 20,000 gallon tank, which in turn is used for flushing toilets throughout the new building. The former building [Grade 2 listed] used as the residential accommodation for the Christian Brothers [The Beeches] adjacent to the Brislington school site, is now a country house venue for business conferences, social events or overnight stays.
